OBITUARY - VELMA (CRUM) WATTS

Velma WATTS, 95, of Diagonal died January 1, 2005, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Sister Joanna RETTENMEIER and Sister Nan ROSS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Marshalltown Cemetery at Benton. Memorials may be directed to Diagonal Development Corp.

Mrs. WATTS, daughter of Harriett (MASON) and John CRUM, was born August 28, 1909, in Cumberland. On Aug. 6, 1930, she married Verl WATTS at the Methodist parsonage in Diagonal. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include two sons, Dale (wife Lenna) WATTS of Pekin, Ill., and Dean (wife Nancy) WATTS of Morton, Ill.; daughter, Reba (husband John) RYCHNOVSKY of Diagonal; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant grandson, four brothers and three sisters.
