NOTICE of DEATH - ALBERTA WATSON

Alberta WATSON, 86, of Diagonal died March 23, 2006, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY ~ ALBERTA WATSON

Alberta WATSON, 86, of Diagonal, died March 23, 2006, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, at the United Church of Diagonal. The Rev. John BERAN will officiate the service with burial in Diagonal Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. A memorial has been established in her name.

Mrs. WATSON, daughter of Dixie Elizabeth (EDWARD) and George Washington MILLER, was born Sept. 26, 1919, in Paragould, Ark. On July 8, 1939, she married Elbert Minor WATSON in Kennett, MO. she worked as a library aid at Diagonal School for many years.

She graduated from high school in Paragould, Ark. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary, both in Diagonal.

Survivors include six children, Dixie (husband Jack) TAYLOR of Diagonal, Kay (husband Larry) PRATT of Sun Lake Ariz., Ann WARIN of Mesa, Arz, Jay (wife Donna) WATSON of Mount Ayr, Steve (wife Carolyn) WATSON Of Tempe, Ariz., and Mark WATSON of Des Moines; brother Paul (wife Evelyn) MILLER of San Antonio, Texas; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Pauline HORTON, son-in-law Bill WARIN and grandson Robert PRATT.
