OBITUARY - ROY WARNER

Roy WARNER, 94, of Mount Ayr died January 24, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, January 27, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Edward SHIELDS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mr. WARNER, son of Lizzie Jane (ROUSH) and C. M. WARNER, was born July 6, 1911, in Ringgold County. He married Ruby PRATT, then on December 16, 1978, he married Anna L. HILLENBRAN. He worked for Iowa Department of Transportation and was a school bus driver and farmer. He was a member of the Baptist/Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Anna WARNER of Mount Ayr; four children, Linda FREEMAN of Creston, Cheryl (husband Marvin) PRICE and Gary (wife Tara) KALAR, all of Burlington, and Gerold (wife Jean) WILLEY of Mount Ayr; sister Lucille MERCER of Shell Knob, Mo.; sister-in-law Shirley WARNER of California; grandchildren, Terry (wife Shelby) FREEMAN, Deb TYER, Becky (husband Phil) COX, Megan KALAR, Tracy (husband Steve) HUFF, Tricia KAUTZ (friend Bill), Kim (husband Bob) WEEHLER and Stephanie (husband Paul) FELL; 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and two children, Billy and Delores PRATT.
