OBITUARY - KENNETH D. VIRDEN

Kenneth D. VIRDEN, age 85, of Everett, died on April 20, 2005. He was born July 24, 1919, in Kellerton, Iowa, son of Rollie A. and Gladys VIRDEN. He lived in Everett for the past 48 years.

Kenneth graduated from Kellerton High School and then served in the Army during W.W. II, stationed in England. He married Peggy HUNT in 1944, in Cambridge, England. He worked as a rural mail carrier for 12 years. He then worked as a sales rep for Admiral Appliances. In later years, he worked selling RV's. Kenneth was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2100. He enjoyed his family, friends, reading, and playing cards.

He is survived by one step-son, James HUNT, of Arkansas and Iowa; two daughters, Maryjane McCLANAHAN, of California, and Jenel VIRDEN, of Hull, England; two sisters, Imogene SLEZAK and Annabelle SLUSHER; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren.

Kenneth was predeceased by his parents; wife, Peggy; and their son, Dwayne.

At his request, no services will be held. Memorial contributions can be made to either Hospice of Snohomish County, or the V.F.W. Post 2100, of Everett.
