OBITUARY - DONALD EUGENE VANDERFLUGHT

Donald Eugene VANDERFLUGHT was born February 25, 1933 at home north of Kellerton to Roy and Gladys (ALLEN) VANDERFLUGHT. He left this earth August 8, 2008 at home in Grand River. He was the youngest child of five. He lived his whole life in Decatur & Ringgold Counties. In January 1952, he married Hazel WARD and to this union 6 children were born. He was a loving father & husband and spent his whole life farming. Donald enjoyed vacationing in the mountains of Colorado, hunting & fishing with his sons, and tending to his flowers. He was always there to lend a helping hand to family or friends.

Don was preceded in death by his parents Roy & Gladys Allen VANDERFLUGHT.

Those left to mourn include his wife Hazel of Grand River; sons Randy & Jane VANDERFLUGHT of Kellerton, Steven VANDERFLUGHT of Grand River, Harold & wife Laura VANDERFLUGHT of Kellerton, Allen VANDERFLUGHT of St. Charles, and Mike & wife Tina VANDERFLUGHT of Kellerton; a daughter Julie & husband Bob GREENE of Branson West, Missouri; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; brothers Russell & wife Lena VANDERFLUGHT of Grand River; Leroy & wife Phyllis VANDERFLUGHT of St. Charles; sisters Juanita MILLS of Van Wert, Alice & Raymond RUSH of St. Charles; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and neighbors.

Memorials are to Hospice of Central Iowa.
