H. Hazel VANCE, 100, of Mount Ayr died October 27, 2005, at Health Care Center in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - H. HAZEL (GILBERT) VANCE

H. Hazel VANCE, 100, of Mount Ayr died October 27, 2005, at Health Care Center in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 31, at the First Christian Church in Mount Ayr. The Rev. John BRILLO will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be after 1 p.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends 7 to 8 p.m. at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the First Christian Church or the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr.

Mrs. VANCE, daughter of Bertha (WOOD) and Bert GILBERT, was born March 12, 1905 in Mount Ayr. On September 26, 1926 she married Clarence K. VANCE in Grant City, Mo. She was a seamstress for Real Style Shop.

She is survived by her brother, Robert GILBERT of South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Keith VANCE; three brothers, Loren, Charles and Jesse GILBERT; and three sisters, Lille EVEN, Lola MAGGARD and Neva KEPLINGER.
