May 25, 2005OBITUARY - PAUL PINE
Paul PINE, of Glenwood Springs, died Monday, May 23, 2005. He was 57.
A native of Diagonal, Iowa, Paul moved to Colorado after graduating from the University of Iowa. He started a masonry business in Evergreen, and in 1988 began PINE's Stone Co. on Cattle Creek Road in Glenwood Springs.
He loved his business, his employees and his customers, and always worked hard to be fair, ethical and to create a win-win situation. He loved to read and was a fountain of historical information. He enjoyed his many cars and loved to drive fast.
He died after a long, hard fight following complications of heart transplant surgery. His wife, Pam, and his son, Jesse, and many loving and supportive family and friends survive him. His willfulness and courage will remain an inspiration.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs, followed by a celebration of life at the PINE home, 38 S. Oak Way, Glenwood Springs.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to YouthZone, 803 School St., Glenwood Springs, CO 81601; or to the Cardiovascular Institute c/o CU Foundation, Dr. Michael BRISTOW, 225 E. 16th Ave., Suite No. 690, Denver, CO 80203.
