OBITUARY - LUCILLE (FOGLE) NICHOLS

VANCOUVER -- A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Gardens Funeral Chapel for Lucille NICHOLS, who died Saturday, February 7, 2004, in Vancouver. She was 93.

Mrs. NICHOLS was born February 3, 1911, in Diagonal, Iowa, and had lived in Vancouver since 1942.

She was a cook for the Vancouver School District for six years and also worked for Jantzen Knitting Mills.

Her husband, Robert, died in 1969.

Survivors include six daughters, Margaret STUCKY and Roberta COLWELL, both of Vancouver, Mary ROGERS of Woodland, Leah HENIKEN of Edgewood, Wash., Patty BECKER of San Diego, Calif., and Judy HINTON of Las Vegas, Nev.; one brother, Raymond FOGLE of Creston, Iowa; two sisters, Margaret COCHRAN of Beaverton, Ore., and Marie MAES of Vancouver; 19 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. NICHOLS enjoyed playing cards, watching soap operas on television and sewing.

Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association, Washington Affiliate, 3434 Martin Way N.E., Olympia, WA 98506; or the American Heart Association, 1425 N.E. Irving St., Suite 100, Portland, OR 97232.
