OBITUARY - THOMAS E. LOUDON

Thomas E. LOUDON, 70, of Creston died June 3, 2004, at Greater Community Hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday, June 7, at Coen-Beaty-Pearson Family Funeral Service, 809 W. Montgomery St. The Rev. Leonard KENKEL of Holy Spirit Catholic Church will officiate the service. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with military honors by VFW Theodore J. Martens Post No. 1797. Open visitation will be 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday with the family receiving friends 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Green Valley Hospice.

Mr. LOUDON, son of Teresa Cecelia (LEUCK) and Paul James LOUDON, was born June 3, 1934, in Creston. On April 30, 1960, he married Barbara Lea BAKER in Creston. He was a conductor for the Burlington Northern Railroad for more than 30 years, retiring in 1990. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of VFW Theodore J. MARTENS Post No. 1797, Eagles Club, American Legion, Creston Model Railroad Club and United Transportation Union No. 199.

Survivors include six children, Brian (wife June) LOUDON of Kansas City, Mo., Patrick (wife Korina) LOUDON and Timothy (wife Nancy) LOUDON, all of Creston, William (wife Debbie) LOUDON of Corning, Katherine (husband Mike) BUCHANAN of Diagonal and Joseph LOUDON of Kansas City, Mo.; two brothers, Bill (wife Carolyn) LOUDON of Las Vegas, Nev., and Jim LOUDON of Madrid; three sisters, Joan BICKETT and Sharon (husband Ron) HOWER, all of Creston, and Teresa JESSEN of Vinton; six grandchildren, Jessica and Hilary LOUDON, Timothy and Stormie BUCHANAN, Haley Loudon and Eli LOUDON; sisters-in-law, Mary LOUDON, Margaret BAKER and Patricia (husband Marty) HEIMKE, all of Creston; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife May 14, 1966, and two brothers, Jack and Paul R. LOUDON.
