OBITUARY - BENJAMIN F. RODGERS.

Benjamin F. RODGERS was born near Ackworth, Iowa, January 21, 1870, and passed away October 21, 1931, at Kellerton, Iowa. His childhood and young manhood was spent near Lacona, Iowa. On February 28, 1900, he was united in marriage to Leeta MYERS, of Lacona, where they made their home for ten years. Later they moved to Kellerton, Iowa, where they have been engaged in the drug business for a number of year (sic). He was converted when but a young man and has ever lived a consistent christian life. His life was pure in thought and motive and above reproach. He was of a sunny disposition with a good word for everyone. A lover of his home, devoted to his wife and little foster daughter, both of whom are left to mourn his departure. Besides those are two sisters, Mrs. M. L. HOOPER of Indianola, and Mrs. Sam LANDES, one brother, George RODGERS of Lacona; two half brothers, Alva RODGERS of Des Moines, Andrew RODGERS, and the stepmother, Mrs. A. J. RODGERS, both of Omaha, Neb., with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home of Mrs. RODGERS's sister, Mrs. RALSTON, at Lacona, and the body laid to rest in the RODGERS [Cochran] cemetery near Lacona [Warren County, Iowa]. The flowers were many and very beautiful.

NOTE: Leeta O. (MYERS), wife of Benjamin F. ROGERS, was born in 1877, and died in 1954. Benjamin's brother George RODGERS was born in 1872, and died in 1933 with interment at Cochran Cemetery near Lacona, Iowa.
