William "Bill" ROBERTS, 81, of Sun Valley Lake at Ellston died May 26, 2005, at the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr. Services are pending at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr.

OBITUARY - WILLIAM "BILL" ROBERTS

William "Bill" ROBERTS, 81, of Sun Valley Lake at Ellston died May 26, 2005, at the Health Care Center in Mount Ayr.

Services were 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Brian OLIVER officiated the service. Burial was in Tingley Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the United Methodist Church in Ellston.

Mr. ROBERTS, son of Lottie Ellen (ROSE) and John Langdon ROBERTS, was born August 20, 1923, in Derby. He graduated from Derby High School. He operated ROBERTS Lawn Care Service. He worked for Iowa Credit Union League in Des Moines and operated Country Living Lounge in Waukee. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include three sons, Kevin (wife Michelle) ROBERTS of New Virginia, Billy ROBERTS of Chicago, Ill., and Aaron (wife April) ROBERTS of Mount Ayr; three daughters, Pamela (husband Tom) KRUSE of Holland, Jayne (husband David) LOCKARD and Cris DUCHENE, all of Des Moines; two sisters, Donna BURRESS of Las Vegas, Nev., and Rose CAYLOR of Chariton; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by daughter Margaret Ann ROBERTS; two brothers, Earl and John ROBERTS; and three sisters, Mary COX, Mabel GILLMAN and Margaret FRYE.
