OBITUARY - LLOYD "PAT" RINEHART

Lloyd "Pat" RINEHART, son of Ira and Pearl (MONTGOMERY) RINEHART, was born June 28, 1908, and died at his farm home near Allendale [MO], June 16, 1988, at the age of 79 years, 11 months and 18 days.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Orval RINEHART, and two sisters, Myrtle TSCHUDIN and Dorcie RINEHART.

He married the former Pansy YOUNG March 10, 1934, at Grant City [MO]. She survives him at the home.

Additional survivors include six brothers: Vern, Clyde, Claude and Homer of Mount Ayr, Ia.; Leland of Kansas City and Calvin of Diagonal, Iowa; two sisters, Velma JAMES and Jeannette MILLER of Allendale. Also surviving are his in-laws, John and Jackie YOUNG, Sue and Toni HULL and Chris CONSTANT, all of whom he dearly loved.

All of his life was spent near the Allendale community except three years when he worked for the SPANGLER ranch at Wisner, Neb.

Pat's hobby was raising watermelon and muskmelon, which he sold under the old oak tree. People came from surrounding counties each year to purchas his choice melons. However, it was the people he enjoyed who stayed to visit and talk, sometimes several carloads of people enjoying the conversation and chance to see neighbors and friends.

He loved the outdoors and wildlife, especially the birds which he fed throughout the entire year. While his health permitted, he was an avid bowler, and he was a Royals baseball fam. Not only his family, but many friends will miss him and share pleasant memories.

Funeral services were held June 18, conducted by Elder Will RAISER at Prugh-Dunfee Funeral Home. Interment was in Allendale Cemetery.
