OBITUARY - FRANK ALLEN RICHARDS

Frank Allen RICHARDS, 90, of Tingley died September 16, 2005, at his home.

Services were 10 a.m. Monday, September 19, at the United Methodist Church in Tingley. The Rev. Brian OLIVER officiated the service. Burial was in Tingley Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Tingley United Methodist Church, Tingley First Responders or Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mr. RICHARDS, son of Helen "Lena" (JERREMS) and Eldon L. RICHARDS, was born September 3, 1915, in Tingley. He graduated from Tingley High School in 1932. On October 20, 1937, he married Clara Kathryn O'GRADY. On March 15, 1985, he married Virginia Mae BOWMAN. He was a farmer and businessman. He was a member of Tingley United Methodist Church, Ringgold County Cattlemen's Association, Ringgold County Farm Bureau, charter member of Tingley Lions Club and past member of Tingley School Board.

Survivors include his wife, Virginia RICHARDS of Tingley; four daughters, Joyce (husband Carnie) ANDERSON of Shawnee, Okla., Janet (husband John) MAYER of Winterset, Diane (husband David) SCHUETTS of Sioux City and Debra (husband Rodney) BASTOW of Mount Ayr; stepdaughter Angela LISTER of Tingley; two sons, Donald (wife Betty) RICHARDS of Des Moines and Doyle (wife Connie) RICHARDS of Tingley; two stepsons, Jimmie BROSAM of Iowa City and Dale BROSAM of Mount Ayr; a sister, Leola BASTOW of Temple, Texas; 23 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; a step-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Lyndon and Wayne RICHARDS and sister Margaret RICHARDS.
