OBITUARY - WAITSTILL E. (THACKREY) REYNOLDS

Waitstill E. REYNOLDS, 91, of Mount Ayr, formerly of Thayer, died June 10, 2006, at Mount Ayr Health Care Center.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 14, at Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Dwayne HENRICHS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family present one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa.

Mrs. REYNOLDS, daughter of Frankie May (MUMFORD) and Logan Henry THACKREY, was born February 19, 1915, in Bedford. On March 21, 1936, she married Virgil Orland REYNOLDS in Mount Ayr. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include three daughters, Doris (husband Charles) WEBER of Ankeny, Sharon (husband Dennis) SWIGART of Des Moines and Phyllis (husband Dan) SHEPHERD of Tingley; brother Logan (wife Betty) THACKREY of Valdosta, Ga.; sister-in-law opal FERBER of Osceola; seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son John Logan REYNOLDS; a grandson Doug SWIGART; and two sisters, Mildred PINE and Bertha THACKREY.
