OBITUARY - DOROTHY (ANDERSON) REYNOLDS

Dorothy REYNOLDS, 90, of Mount Ayr died September 13, 2005, at Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, September 16, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Lyle DeFORD will officiate the service. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery at Shannon City. There is open visitation after 10 a.m. Thursday with the family receiving friends 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Mrs. REYNOLDS, daughter of Bertha (ROBERTSON) and Martin ANDERSON, was born April 29, 1915, in Shannon City. She graduated from Shannon City High School in 1933. In 1942, she married John REYNOLDS. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the Regular Baptist Church in Mount Ayr.

Survivors include a son, Marvin (wife Joleen) REYNOLDS of Wichita, Kan.; a daughter, Marilyn (husband James) GALLOWAY of Creston; two sisters, Verna COLEMAN of San Anselmo, Calif., and Marjorie (husband Kenneth) NURNBERG of Arispe; five grandchildren, Martin, Julian and John GALLOWAY and Michael and Jennifer REYNOLDS; two great-grandchildren, Maesyn and Damean GALLOWAY; and two sisters-in-law, Helen ANDERSON of Creston and Margaret BURGMAIER of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband in 1977, sister Vivian BURGMAIER, brother Wayne ANDERSON and two brothers-in-law, Ralph COLEMAN and Ernest BURGMAIER.
