OBITUARY - NANCY JO (SAVILLE) REUTER

Nancy Jo (SAVILLE) REUTER, Forest City, IA passed away July 31, 2007 at the Muse Norris Hospice Center in Mason City, IA after a courageous two year battle with multiple myeloma.

Nancy was born Feb. 1, 1962 at the Ringgold County Hospital in Mount Ayr, IA. She was the third daughter of Robert Wilbur & Ruth Marie (DOWNING) SAVILLE. She was raised in Delphos and baptized at the Delphos Baptist Church on November 3, 1974 by Rev. Norman NOBLE. She was educated in Maloy, Benton, and Mount Ayr, graduating with the Mount Ayr Community High School class of 1980. She was installed as Rainbow Worthy Advisor in her senior year of high school. She also worked at the Ringgold County Hospital doing insurance for Dr. Frank MATTESON.

Nancy attended Graceland College in Lamoni, IA, American Institute of Business in Des Moines, IA and Hamilton Business College in Mason City, IA. She married Thomas John REUTER on May 5, 1984. Three children were born to this union, twin sons Jason Robert & Shaun Michael, and a daughter Jessica Lynn. The couple later divorced. Tom preceded her in death on August 29, 2006.

As a child, Nancy enjoyed fishing, trap shooting and hunting coyotes with her dad. Nancy also enjoyed cooking, counted cross-stitch, reading and of course, her family.

Nancy is survived by her mother, Ruth SAVILLE of Delphos; sons Jason & wife Holly and Shaun, who is with the U.S. Marines and his fiancé Megan SIMPSON of Indianapolis, IN; sisters Connie WALLACE and niece Megan of New Market and Tammy (Roger) FLUGGE and nephew and niece Matthew and Paige of Marshalltown; aunts Mary CAVIN of Clarinda, Shirley COLE of Bolivar, MO, and Sam STEPHENS of Pueblo, CO; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Robert "Bob" SAVILLE in December of 1985; niece Amy Jo WALLACE in infancy; paternal grandparents Wilbur and Mamie SAVILLE; maternal grandparents Beryl and Anna DOWNING; cousin Lyle Sue MAXWELL; aunts Dorothy STEPHENS, Hazel NEWMAN, Pauline SMITH, and uncles Lyle CAVIN, Howard NEWMAN, Richard "Dick" SAVILLE, Robert DOWNING, Don DOWNING, and Bill COLE.

Nancy is now in the arms of her Lord. She will be missed by family, neighbors, and friends.

Services were held Saturday, August 3, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. from Wilson-Watson & Armstrong Funeral Home, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
