NOTICE of DEATH.

--Just before going to press, we were informed that R. O. DENT, living in the extreme west part of this county, near the line, was killed outright, on Tuesday of this week. While going across the road, a four-horse team came dashing furiously down the road, driven by a person who was entirely regardless of consequences. So fast was this team driven that before Mr. Dent could make good his escape, the vehicle was upon him, both the fore and hind wheels passing over his neck, actually severing his head from his body, after which the hound jumped upon his prostrate form and tore off his coat with fiendish delight. We did not learn whether anything was done in retaliation of this wanton act, but it is said that the deceased left a numerous and unprotected family.
