OBITUARY - Mrs. KEZIA (WELLS) CLAYBURGH

Mrs. Kezia (WELLS) CLAYBURGH departed this life at her home in Redding, Iowa, Dec. 5th, 1893. She was born in Summerset county, PA., Oct. 9th, 1824; was married to Mr. Isaac CLAYBURGH, Sept. 12th, 1858. Of this marriage ten children were sent to visit their home, three of whom are living, two sons and one daughter - Mrs. John A. AKIN - the only one of the three who could be present at the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. CLAYBURGH came to Ringgold County, Iowa, in 1859, or 1860, and have been residents of this county ever since. They are therefore well known, and the bereaved husband and children have the sympathy of many friends. Mrs. CLAYBURGH was a highly esteemed as a christian woman, and her kindness to the afflicted has endeared her to many hearts and homes. She was converted some ten or eleven years ago and united with the United Brethren church of which she was a member at her death. Her end was in peace, she died trusting in Jesus, and in full assurance of her acceptance with Him. Her funeral was preached at the United Presbyterian church, Dec. 7th from Rev. 14:13, "Blessed ar the dead who die in the Lord, etc.," and was largely attended.
