The Ringgold Record, 1893

OBITUARY.

Floyd Edward, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. BURLEIGH, died after a brief illness Saturday morning, Oct. 14th, of brain fever, superinduced by a complication of ailments peculiar to childhood, and which baffled the best medical skill. He was born March 20th, 1892 and was a bright and affectionate child, and the parents have the sympathy of the entire community in their bereavement. The funeral services were held from the home on Monday at 10 a.m., conducted by their pastor, Rev. C. L. NYE. A large company of friends and neighbors and many floral offerings at the funeral testified to the sympathy and affection of the community. Mrs. BURLEIGH is just convalescing from an attack of fever, and this renders the affliction doubly hard to bear.

NOTE: Floyd Edward BURLEIGH was interred at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr. His father, W. Edward BURLEIGH, was born in 1858 and died in 1939 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
