OBITUARY - MRS. MARGARET (ARMSTRONG) BRYANS

Mrs. Margaret BRYANS died in the seventy-fifth year of her age, January 27th 1892, on Mr. WATSON's place three miles north of Redding. Her maiden name was Margaret ARMSTRONG. She was born in Fermanaugh county, Ireland July 11, 1817, was married to John BRYANS in 1835, emigrated to Ontario, Canada 1848. She with one son and daughter came to Ringgold county to her son-in-law Mr. WATSON, March, 1891. The deceased had nine children. Six of them are still living, two sons and four daughters. Three of them are in this county, Mrs. WATSON and the son and daughter who came here with her. She united with the Episcopalian church of Ireland in her fourteenth year, and has been a faithful member of that church for sixty one years. Our acquaintance was very limited and these facts we have from her daughter; but having talked with her two or three times during last fall and winter we believe that she was prepared, and the change to her a happy one. There was a large gathering at her funeral and the bereaved have the sympathy of all neighbors.

NOTE: Margaret (ARMSTRONG) BRYAN was interred at Forest Home (a.k.a. Oak Ridge) Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
