OBITUARY - SAMUEL J. BROWN

Samuel Jacob BROWN, son of Robert G. and Katherine (DOBSON) BROWN, was born April 15, 1891, at Grand River, Iowa, and departed this life March 12, 1969, at Ellston, at the age of 77 years, 10 months and 25 days.

Most of his life was spent in Decatur, Ringgold, and Wayne counties, with the exception of about eight years in Boise, Idaho.

He was united in marriage with Ora RUTLEDGE in November, 1939.

Mr. BROWN is remembered by all who knew him as a faithful brother who helped his sister raise her family and remained faithful until his passing.

Preceding him in death were his wife, father, mother, two brothers and a sister.

Left to mourn his passing are his sister, Mollie BOLTINGHOUSE; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held March 15 from the Ellston United Methodist church conducted by the Rev. Jerry NICHOLS, Mrs. Kum JONES, vocalist, was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. Leo MORGAN. Casketbearers were Duane, Roger and Richard GROSE, Harold and Robert OLSON and Mansel BRAMMER. Burial was in the Ellston cemetery.
