OBITUARY - NANCY (KIRKPATRICK) BROWN

Mrs. Nancy BROWN, whose maiden name was KIRKPATRICK, was born in Knox county, Ohio, July 29, 1834, was married to G. M. BROWN April 12, 1858, and moved to Ringgold county, Iowa in 1866. She joined the Christian church in 1880, and lived a consistent and devoted christian until her death, April 26, 1889, aged 55 years, 8 months and 24 days.

She leaves a good kind husband and six children, five girls and one boy. She was of a gentle and kind disposition, which won her many friends. We all unite in sympathy with the bereaved famiy. But let us remember what is our loss is her gain, and she can no more come to us, but we can go to her.

NOTE: Nancy (KIRKPATRICK) BROWN was interred at Caledonia Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa. George M. BROWN, husband of Nancy (KIRKPATRICK) BROWN, was born in 1834 and died at the age of 70 years and 24 days on February 18, 1904. He was interred in Caledonia Cemetery. Savilla J. BROWN, daughter of Nancy (KIRKPATRICK) and George M. BROWN, was born in 1871 and died at age 12 years, 10 months and 20 days on October 14, 1884 with interment at Caledonia Cemetery.
