I am looking for any information on Sarah Putnam Black, wife of Jacob Black. She was born in 1836 in New York and died in 1864 in Poweshiek County. She is buried in Brooklyn Cemetery. I believe they lived in the Bear Creek area. They moved to Poweshiek County around 1857, right after they were married in New York. She had three children before she died: Frank, Edwin Jacob and William Harvey. She would be my 3rd great grandmother. I have not been able to access any old newspapers from that area online to see if there is a small clipping on her death. Any help would be appreciated. I know it's a long shot due to the year of death, but appreciate any and all help.
