Carla,
I am the researcher for the genealogy library in Poweshiek County. Samuel is not listed in our cemetery records at all, so we might assume that he is buried without a stone. There is a Jackson Township cemetery here in Montezuma which has an older part where there are many stones missing. The undertaker would have been George Lorenzen who owned the furniture store/funeral parlor at that time.
