MICHAELIS, NICHOLAS, BUCKMEYER, HASTINGS

Seeking any information on the MICHAELISs of Poweshiek County.

More specifically the family of:

Francis W. MICHAELIS who d in 1879, in Brooklyn, and his son

Emil Fredrick Theodore MICHAELIS who was born in Poweshiek.

Emil went by Fred T., or Fredrick T. Moved to CO in 1888.

Francis had a sister, Julia BUCKMEYER, who was murdered in Kane County, IL, 1886.

This family is of German descent.

This is basically all the information I have of this family, at this time.

Fred had an Aunt & Uncle in Greene Co, IA, (my ancestors) by the names of Minerva Bacon (nee HASTINGS) & Edward Ernest NICHOLAS. How are they related?

Any clues or information would be most gratefully appreciated.
