Farm in Ewart

I read in the early 1990's a book of Poweshiek County History. In it was info rearding a farm in Ewart. It was significant because this farm was the the first to be settled by African-Americans. The Benning family owned it, however Booker Kiner (a relative of the Benning's) farmed this land. At the time I read about this, the farm had been in the family about 100 years. Another last name possibly associated with this farm is Lucas.
Why can't I find any info about this on your site?
