I am trying to connect Edward Stanley to John H. Stanley. Edward was born in 1820 in Virginia and John H. was born about 1807 in Virginia. They were both in Newberry, Miami County, Ohio at the same time. Edward married Martha Layton and then moved to Elkhart, Indiana along with her family. John H. moved with his family to Sugar Creek,Iowa. Do you have this John H. Stanley in your family? I am also interested in finding his parents name and where in Virginia he is from.
