The obituaries for both of your people are on the Grinnell Drake Library site, which is http://grinnell.lib.ia.us/local/obituary-database/
By the description of where they lived, I'm guessing they died in Jasper County. You might also consider Marshall County if you don't find the death records there.
Death records for Poweshiek County for the 1920's are held at the state level rather than locally.
