Doctor in Mantezuma

1870 census shows James Brosius as a physician in
Montezuma and 1880 shows him as pauper in poor
farm but still married. Am hoping to gather more information on his stay in Iowa as have come up some info that he may have died in 1895 and possibly be found in an Indiana cemetery.
Any help as to where to check would be must welcome.
