Does anyone have any information on John/Jake Simmons of New York and Sarah Varuauly of French Canada? They were the parents of my grandmother Martha Ann Simmons Meyer, born in Riceville, Ia. April 14, 1865 in New Sharon, Ia. and buried in Searsboro, Ia. The Simmons family also lived in Belle Plaine for several years. Any information on the Simmons or Peter Meyer family which originated in Germany and immigrated to the United States in 1872 and ran a brick and tile factory in New Sharon, Ia. for many years would be greatly appreciated.
