No wonder you asked about the wedding date of Leon Peter and Amalia Weimmana Hautekeete. Leon married twice, and Amalia was his second wife - now that I have read the complete obits. Leon and Amalia married Jan. 30, 1925 in Rock Island. She died January 29, 1932. His first wife must have been Anna Marie VandenAbeele as she was the mother of his only son, A. Ernest. A daughter also preceded Leon in death. According to the obits, A. Ernest was born in East Moline in 1909, but grew up in Belgium before returning to the United States. However, the obit for Leon indicates that he moved to Moline in 1907 and then spent the rest of his life in the Brooklyn and Malcom areas. I am not sure how it is that A. Ernest grew up in Belgium. If you wish, I could mail you hard copies of the four obits from the Grinnell library web site, if I had your address. I printed the obits.
