Families of Madison Twp 1860-1920

SMITH, CATHERMAN, GRAHAM

I am researching any information about Robert E. Smith and a brother Garret Smith that arrived in Madison Twp Poweshiek County, IA in the late 1860s from Clearfield County, PA. A " W.? Catherman" was listed in 1870 census with wife Sophia who would of been a sister of Robert and Garret Smith. Another Catherman is listed with a wife by the name of Hannah and a family. The Hannah is possibly a sister of Sophia, Garret and Robert Smith in Madison Twp for 1880 of IA Census. I have US census access for the Township through 1930. Garret last was last listed in 1920 with a large family and then most likely died before the 1930 census. These three possibly four Smiths are decended from George B. Smith married to Minerva Graham(whose line goes back to 1600s via PA to VA to England). George B. Smith was the son of Stephen Smith who settled in Centre County,PA and died in 1802 per will probated and on file at Centre County Library PA Room in Bellefonte, PA. The Will has been preserved and bound in a large book by my children and I. Daniel Smith a brother of George B. Smith has decendants documented with the DAR under Stephen Smith. His decendants moved west also.
I am looking for any contact with living decendants, for copies of any pictures, birth/death certificates, marriages or Bible pages related to any of the Smiths who settled in Madison Twp or for George B. Smith of Centre County and Clearfield County, PA.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. I live in central PA and work the State Library for my research at Harrisburg, PA. I have collected information on mainly Smiths decended from Stephen to George B. Smith and down 4 more generations to me. There were three George B. Smiths. The son of Stephen and father of Garret, Robert, Sophia and others like brother Isaac from Civil War Vet, plus Henry and Daniel that died in Civil War. Isaac Smith fathered a George B. Smith in 1868 per 1870 US Census for PA. Garret Smith Smith fathered a George B. Smith in 1885 per 1900 US Census for IA. John Henderson maintains a web page "Pennsylvania 62 Inf Regiment". Co M has Isaac Smith picture and info.
