Joshua J. Fiscus, Sr., 37, of Grinnell, died on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2012, at his home.
A memorial service was held on Friday, Feb. 17, at the Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Joshua Fiscus, Sr. Memorial Fund and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112.
Joshua James Fiscus was born on Oct. 21, 1974, in Davenport, to Robert Meade Fiscus and Mary Ellen White. He was raised and attended school in Grinnell.
He enjoyed fishing with his brothers and later fishing and spending time with JJ. He liked to write poetry and spending time with friends and listening to music.
Josh is survived by his son, Joshua James Fiscus, Jr. of Grinnell; his mother, Mary Ellen White of Grinnell; his sister, Christina Fiscus of Iowa City; three brothers, Richard Fiscus of Des Moines, Timothy Fiscus of Grinnell and Noah Fiscus of Wilsonville, Ore.; and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1987 and his grandparents.
