DARYL EDWARD BEHOUNEK

Daryl Edward Behounek, age 70, of Grinnell, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at his home. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the St. Francis Social Center, in Grinnell, with Rev. John Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery.

Visitation: 9:30 a.m., Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at the St. Francis Social Center. Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn, is in charge of arrangements.

Daryl is survived by his cousins, Myron (Sarah) Byers, of Montezuma, Lowell (Doris) Byers of Denver, CO, Glen (Linda) Sedlacek, of Marshalltown and Norma Jean Ricek, of Cedar Rapids. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Daryl Behounek was born July 23, 1945, in Grinnell, the son of Edward and Verna Carlsen Behounek. He graduated from the Brooklyn High School in 1963 and attended William Penn University, graduating in 1971 with a BA degree. Daryl enjoyed traveling, fishing and watching TV.
