May 27, 1993Richard F. Legg, 72, of Brooklyn died of a heart ailment Monday at Grinnell General Hospital.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home in Marshalltown. Burial will be in Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery there.
Mr. Legg was born in Chicago and moved to Brooklyn in 1982 from Marshalltown. He retired as a foreman for the Marshalltown Street Department; was an Army veteran of World War II and had been a member of Frank-Lewis-Golick American Legion post.
Surviving are his wife, Sherri; a son, Rick of Nevada; four daughters, Tanya Legg of Marshalltown, Barbara Pfantz of State Center, Janice Brandt of McKinney, Texas, and Nadine Fosdick of LaPine, Ore.; a brother, Norman of Marshalltown; two sisters, Rosemary Lukehart of Des Moines and Virginia Weidler of Marshalltown; 12 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
