Cynthia L. Zapp, 34, died on Friday, July 27, 2007, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center in Grinnell, Iowa.

Her funeral service was held Thursday, Aug. 2, at Community Hope Church, Montezuma.

Cynthia Louise Zapp, the daughter of Sue Anna Brown and Thomas Robert Zapp, was born Jan. 19, 1973, in Rockledge, Fla.

Cindy loved her family. She was a member of Community Hope Assembly of God church in Montezuma. Cindy enjoyed playing Bingo, knitting, crafts, golf, swimming, water skiing, cats, puppies and above all spending time with her children and family. She was a proud employee of the Jeld-Wen Doors Company in Grinnell.

Those left to honor Cindy's memory include her beloved companion of many years, Joe Pitman of Montezuma; her son, Raymond LaFountain Zapp; her daughters, Amanda Sue Zapp and Evelyn Sue Pitman; her mother and step-father, Sue and Arthur Mayo; her brothers, William Searson and Mark Zapp; and her sister, Audra Zapp.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Zapp, and her brother, Steven Searson.

Memorials may be designated to a trust fund set up for Cindy's children at Montezuma State Bank.
