Funeral services for Katherine Ann Rehder, widow of John Rehder, who passed away at her home on Sunday, were held Wednesday afternoon at the James Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Hal Earl Norton, Pallbearers were Ross Coutts, F.W. Tomasek, Ben Tarleton, Tom Sanders, Roy Mushrush and E.L. York. Interment was in Hazelwood cemetery.

Katherine A. Rehder, daughter of Joseph W. and Nancy Satchell, was born on a farm not far from Union Mills, Mahaska county Jan. 8, 1866, and passed to her eternal reward Sunday, Dec. 5, 1948. While a young girl she moved to Grinnell with her parents and spent the remainder of her life. On Feb. 6, 1880, she united with the First Baptist church, where she was active as long as her health permitted, and where she was the oldest member in point of continuous membership. October 30, *1890 [see note below], she was united in marriage to Joe M. Morris. To this union one daughter, Mrs. Lois Ryan, was born.

Mr. Morris passed away in 1906. Nov. 15, *1913 [see note below], she was united in marriage to John W. Rehder, who preceded her in death, in 1943. Mrs. Rehder was also a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah lodges. She is survived by three daughters, nine grandchildren, and a host of friends.
