NINA J. ROWE

Nina J. Rowe, 87, of the Mayflower Home died Thursday, June 18, at her residence.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service was conducted Monday afternoon in Denison Chapel at the Mayflower Home. Burial of the ashes will be in Newton Union Cemetery at a later date.

The daughter of Velma Prentice and Joseph Stegg, she was born May 14, 1905, in Early. She was married to J.V. Rowe May 27, 1930, in Dexter.

She attended Morningside College in Sioux City, then taught rural school near Early. For 20 years she was manager of the Waterlook Branch of Fort Dodge Laboratories, Inc., retiring in 1967. Mrs. Rowe had been a Grinnell resident since 1977.

She was a member of the Grinnell First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are one daughter, Jane Guy of Newton; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one brother. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1990, one brother and two sisters.

Memorials in Mrs. Rowe's name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Mayflower Home.
