April 14, 1905 --- March 16, 1980

Services for Mrs. Dewey (Faye) Butler were held April 14, Wednesday afternoon, March 19, at the Steffy Funeral Home with the Rev. James Ross officiating. Mrs. Reta Taylor was the organist. Casket bearers were Dwight Keenan, Ricky Kiefer, Delano Johnson, Doyle Mikles, Tom Taylor and Carl Ewing. Honorary bearers were Kenneth Schultz, Preston Wickham, Dale Robbins and Lester Beyer. Burial was in the West Liberty Cemetery.

Mrs. Butler, 74, died at Grinnell Sunday, March 16. The daughter of Billie and Viola Kirby Mikles, she was born at Exline on April 14, 1905. She attended Valley School near her home. She was married to Dewey Butler and they lived in the Forest Home community until moving to St. Francis Manor at Grinnell about two years ago.

She is survived by her husband, Dewey; two daughters, Mrs. Darrel (Dixie) Keenan of Grinnell and Mrs. Earl (Laverna) Kiefer of Waterloo; a son, Donald, of Grinnell; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Mamie Johnson of Grinnell; and a brother, Holly Mikles of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roy; two sisters, Nellie Mikles, and Lottie Mac Endry; an infant brother and two brothers, Everett and Temple.
