MRS. SUSAN COOK WHITE

The body of Mrs. Susan Cook White was brought here yesterday for burial at Hazelwood. Mrs. White died Monday, Aug. 26, at her home in Oskaloosa of peritonitis, aged 32 years and 9 months. She was a former resident of this place, being a granddaughter of A.P. Cook, one of the pioneer settlers in this township. Mrs. White was a member of the Methodist church at Oskaloosa and funeral services were held in that city by the pastor of the church. Prof. L.F. Parker had charge of the brief services held at the grave. The husband, Wm. White and four children, Ray, Sadie, Lucy and George; Mrs. Geo. White, mother-in-law of the deceased, and Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Von Draska accompanied the body to Grinnell and returned on the evening train. Mrs. White leaves two brother, Albert Cook of Tineville, Mo., and C.B. Cook of Ali Baba, Okla.; and a half sister, Flora E. Banner of Omaha. Mrs. W.C. Williams of this city is her aunt. Mrs. White is buried beside her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clement Cook and her two twin daughters, one of which died at the age of eight months and the other when five years old.
