H. Keith Bryan, 38, of Kansas City, Mo., formerly of Grinnell and the Searsboro-Lynnville area, died Friday, Dec. 18, at a convalescent home in Kansas City. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Vanderwell of the Lynnville Friends Church officiation. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Dudolski, Jim Nettleton, Cal Taylor, Larry Ellis, Bob Puls and Jim White. Burial will be in Searsboro Cemetery.

The son of Charles L. Bryan of Lynnville and Janet Fleener Anderson of Grinnell, he was born July 27, 1954, in Grinnell. He was raised in the Searsboro-Lynnville area and graduated from Lynnville High School in 1973. He also was a graduate of Northeast Missouri State College and had taught for one year at Mt. Pleasant High School. For the past 14 years he had lived in Kansas City where he was in the administrative offices of the Truman Medical Center. He recently was a sales representative for Apollo Hair Systems.

Surviving are his father and stepmother, Charles and Doris Bryan of Lynnville; his mother, Janet Anderson of Grinnell; three brothers, Kyle of New Sharon, Kerry of Searsboro and Kelly of Lynnville; his maternal grandfather, Earl Fleener of Grundy Center; and his paternal grandparents, Harley and Jesse Bryan of New Sharon. He was preceded in death by his stepfather, Richard Anderson, and his maternal grandmother, Ruth Fleener.
