GRINNELL — Mitchell Stockdale, 45, of Grinnell, passed away April 21, 2008, at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. His body has been cremated. Memorial Services will be held 1:30 p.m. on Saturday April 26, 2008 at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma with Pastor Ester Brown of the Deep River Nazarene Church officiating. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in the family’s name.

Mitchell Dean Stockdale, son of Eugene Stockdale and Ruth (Chase) Ewing was born August 23, 1962 in Fort Dodge. He attended Fort Dodge Public Schools and Wichita Automotive School in Wichita, Kansas. His memory is honored by his wife, Theresa Wallace of Grinnell; four daughters; Tayler Elizabeth Jean Kerr of Grinnell, Samantha Bell of Florida, Wendi Wallace of Florida and Brandi (Rob) Duncan of Florida; his mother, Ruth (Dave) Ewing of Deep River; his father, Eugene (Linda) Stockdale of Fort Dodge; three brothers, Russ (Tammy) Stockdale of Barnes City, Kelly (Roxanne) Stockdale of Jewell and TJ (Emily) Stockdale of Arizona; three sisters, Robin (Mark) Cranston of Deep River, Kim Kline of Jewell and Vicki Soma of Arizona; two grandmothers, Leola Riley of Fort Dodge and Lucille Morgan of Eagle Grove and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mitchell was preceded in death by two grandfathers, Lowell Chase and Thomas Stockdale; a father-in-law, Francis Kerr; a mother in law, Ardith Kerr and an uncle, Bruce Chase.
