JONES FUNERAL
SERVICES FRIDAYErnest B. Jones, lifelong resident of Grinnell, died Wednesday morning at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday from the James-Schalinske Funeral Home with the Rev. C.E. Kingsley officiating. Burial will be at Hazelwood cemetery.
The son of Benjamin and Dora Sarstin Jones, he was born on December 27, 1889, in Grinnell. Mr. Jones was a carpenter by trade and for the past (22)? years was employed by Grinnell College.
Mr. Jones was married to Gillalie C. Larson on March 3, 1913 at Grinnell. She preceded him in death on August 11, 1932. On September (19)?, 1949, he married Clara M. Davenport at Grinnell.
He is survived by his wife and four sons, Alfred E. of Davenport, Max of Grinnell, Ernest of Marshalltown and Kenneth of Lynnville. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren; two brothers, Clifford and Harold, both of Grinnell; two sisters, Mrs. Orville Pedersen of Grinnell and Mrs. Charles Kaisand of Kellogg.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, his parents, two brothers and one sister.
