DIES IN DEEP RIVER

The funeral of Mrs. Wm. Johnson (Johnston) who died at her home in Deep River Thursday, October 1, 1925, was held at the home on Friday at two o'clock. Interment was made in Golden Rod cemetery beside her husband who preceded her in death in 1907.

Mary Ann Hazelett (Hazlett) was born in Richland county, Ohio, March 10, 1833. She was united in marriage to William H. Johnson (Johnston) Aug. 4, 1853. One son, John Calvin, was bon to this union, who is now suffering from a stroke of paralysis. The family moved to Linn county, Iowa in 1854. In 1892 the family moved to Poweshiek county where they resided at the time of the death of both the husband and mother. Of late months she suffered from the advance of age, being at the time of her death 92 years of age.
