FUNERAL SATURDAY

Funeral services for Claude Brannian, 75, were held Saturday at the Methodist church in Deep River conducted by the Rev. W.G. Rieckhoff. Burial was in the Goldenrod cemetery there.

A son of John and Laurel Brannian, Claude was born May 30, 1884, in Woodbury county. The family moved to Poweshiek county while he was a child. He was united in marriage with Bertha Stevenson Feb. 6, 1906, and to this union were born four children. He was a member of the Methodist church.

An invalid for a number of years Claude died Mar. 16 at Sigourney. Surviving are the children: Burdette, Bemidji, Minn.; Verna, Webster; Phyllis, North English, and Loraine, Fargo, N.D.; a brother, Ross; six grandchildren and four great grandsons.
