Many Friends Mourn Passing of One
of Grinnell's Good Women.

Miss Mayme Nelson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Nelson, died early Sunday of a blood clot on the brain following an operation performed Thursday for the removal of a cancer.

After the operation Miss Nelson seemed to be on the road to recovery and she continued to regain her strength until Sunday morning when she lapsed into unconsciousness from which she did not recover. A blood clot had formed on the brain and she died with a few hours after becoming unconscious.

Miss Nelson is well known in Grinnell as she has been in the dry goods department of the Nelson store for many years and has gained many friends by her courteous manner and kindly ways. The many friends and acquaintances of Miss Nelson will be deeply moved to learn of her death. The funeral will be held from the home at 3:30 tomorrow. Rev. C.A. Harman? will officiate.
