MAXINE ABEL WHITE
DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Graveside services were held in Woodlawn Cemetery in Santa Monica, Calif., for Maxine Abel White of Livermore, Calif., a former resident of Grinnell, who died Aug. 9 in California.

Mrs. White, 64, had been ill for several years.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred L. Abel, Mrs. White was born in Grinnell in 1907. Her parents moved to California in 1927, and she had resided there ever since.

Mrs. White was married to Nathan L. White, a former FBI agent and a college professor. He survives. The couple had no children.

Other survivors include three cousins in Grinnell -- Burdette Abel, Mrs. Harold Brown and Mrs. Donovan Evans.

Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents.
