SHERRY K. ARGO

Sherry K. Argo, 75, of Marshalltown and a native of Grinnell, died Monday, Feb. 22, 2016, at Central Iowa Healthcare.

Following her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A public memorial gathering for Sherry will be held on Friday, Feb. 26, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Family Funeral Home where her family will be present to greet friends. Sherry K. Goreham was born on Jan. 25, 1941, in Grinnell, the daughter of Lyle and Ruth Thompson Goreham. She was raised and educated in the Grinnell school district, graduating from Grinnell High School.

On Sept. 26, 1961, Sherry was united in marriage with Darrell Argo in West Des Moines, and they had two children. Sherry was employed as the secretary for Meredith Publishing Company before marriage. Following their marriage, she wanted to become a homemaker and take care of the family. Sherry had a love for her family, reading, garage sales, playing cards and square dancing with Darrell.

She is survived by her husband, Darrell Argo; one daughter, Nicole Waller; two grandchildren; one brother, Gary Goreham; and a sister, Sue Revell.

She is precede in death by her parents and one daughter, Deneen Krajcir.
