Funeral services for Mrs. Homer (Roena) Shelby were conducted by the Rev. Douglas Smiley at the Barnes City Methodist Church on Wednesday afternoon, October 15, followed by burial at the Barnes City Cemetery.
Music at the services was provided y Mrs. Henry Rosburg and Mrs. James Gillam.
Casket bearers were Harlan Vail, Paul Phillips, Sheldon Freeborn, Ned Schultz, Lyle Sanders, and Delmar Berstler.
Mrs. Shelby, 77, passed away Monday, October 13.
The daughter of David and Nellie Blain, she was born Sept. 26, 1892.
On Dec. 25, 1919, she was united in marriage to Homer Shelby and they made their home in the Barnes City area. Mr. Shelby farmed until seven years ago when they moved to Barnes City.
She was a member of the Barnes City Methodist Church and the WSCS.
Mrs. Shelby is survived by her husband, Homer; an aunt, Alice Wright of Boone; several cousins; one nephew and two nieces.
