FRANCIS WAHNER

CEDAR FALLS - Francis K. Wahner, 88, of Windsor Care and Rehab Center, died Wednesday, Nov. 21, at Sartori Memorial Hospital.

She was born July 12, 1919, in Boone, daughter of Grover and Madaline Martin Chamberlin. She married Richard M. Wahner on July 6, 1940 in Montezuma. They later divorced.

Ms. Wahner was a 1938 graduate of Montezuma High School, and had been employed as a custodian with the University of Northern Iowa, retiring in 1985.

Survivors include: two sons, William (Joann) Wahner of Janesville and James A. Wahner of Cedar Falls; a daughter, Kathryn L. Dykes of Cedar Falls; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two sisters, Hazel Couch of Murphysboro, IL and Elmoren (Gerald) Guyer of Milwaukee, WI.

Preceded in death by: two sons, Robert and Richard; three brothers; and three sisters.

Services: 1 p.m. Monday, at Ascension Lutheran Church, Waterloo, with burial in Fairview Cemetery, Cedar Falls. Public visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Richardson Funeral Home. Visitation also for one hour before services Monday at the church.
